On her return to Saturday Night Live, Camila Cabello brought a guest with her. A very famous, controversial singer today because of her father.
The Grammy Award nominee, 25, performed "Psychofreak" with Willow Smith, who is featured on the music video herself. Camila Cabello has returned as musical guest on SNL this weekend during an episode hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal.
On a dimly lighted stage with blue lights behind them, she and Smith, 21, performed like there's no tomorrow. Their outfits were remarkable.
On a dimly lighted stage with blue lights behind them, she and Smith, 21, performed like there's no tomorrow. Smith accompanied Cabello on guitar while wearing a cropped red blazer with a matching skirt and thigh-high black stockings. Cabello was dressed in structured black latex with red gloves.
In her first public appearance since her father Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in the face at last year's Academy Awards, Willow Smith took to the stage to perform without a care. As if Colin Jost did not just crack a joke about her father earlier in the show on Weekend Update.
"But is that a punishment?" Jost, 39, asked. "He can still be nominated and even win an award. He can even go to the after party. He just doesn't have to attend the four-hour ceremony, where someone is definitely going to make fun of his wife again. Honestly, I think a real punishment would be to make Will Smith host next year's Oscars, because trust me, nothing will make you question your choices in life more than hosting an awards show."

Cabello opened the show with an energetic performance of her single "Bam Bam," surrounded by dancers decked out in identical pink and orange attire and lighted with the same hues. To complete the look, she added fishnet stockings and black high-heeled boots to her ensemble
Her newest album "Familia" debuted on Friday so the live performance on Saturday was just apt.
"Psychofreak" is notable as the song where Camila Cabello sings about her former Fifth Harmony bandmates. One can recall she left the band not in good terms, but she seems to be saying everything is behind them now in this song. "I don't blame the girls for how it went down, down," was one of the lines in the track.
In a separate interview, she said she and her former bandmates, Lauren Jauregui, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Ally Brooke are now supportive of each other. She also said the song is all about the anxiety she went through before.
"That song is basically about anxiety and all of the different things that have made up, like, my journey with anxiety and starting off really young in the industry," she told the outlet.
