Rihanna appeared on the cover of Vogue's May 2022 issue and revealed that she and A$AP Rocky's pregnancy was unplanned. She also shared some fears about the aftermath of her delivery and whether she has plans of slowing down.
For the breathtaking photo shoot, the 34-year-old singer, who is pregnant with her second child, wore a revealing Alaa one-piece with matching heels and a Saint Laurent coat by Anthony Vaccarello.
While discussing postpartum depression in an interview with the magazine, Rihanna revealed that she is "scared" to hear about the difficulties faced by other women, and that she is "frightened" of experiencing postpartum psychosis herself.
She added that while her pregnancy can be categorized as being "unplanned," she and her partner were certainly not planning against it. "I don't know when I ovulate or any of that type of s**t. We just had fun," were her exact words (via Daily Mail UK).
When she found out about the pregnancy through a kit, she said she did not waste time in letting A$AP Rocky know about it. They immediately went to the doctor's office the next morning and so the journey of their parenthood begins.
"Postpartum depression," the singer stated when asked about her greatest concern after giving baby. She shared she often worries about whether or not she'll end up experiencing an emotional roller coaster just like other women. She admits to feeling terrified by the stories she hears from other women.

On the subject of having all her loved ones present on the day of her delivery, Rihanna joked that she might just "rent a party bus" to park outside because of the limits imposed by COVID-19.
She also revealed having some worries that the baby will affect her music career. On that note, Rihanna said she is determined to continue managing her billion-dollar enterprise while raising her first child, saying: "Balance is one of my biggest challenges and always has been. And now there's another human being coming into play, it changes what that means again."
She said her businesses "won't run themselves." Still, she's confident she can handle her music and other endeavors even if she's already a mom, just because her own mother managed to raise her and her siblings single-handedly without as much money or support.
"My mom handled the three of us with not even close to the amount of resources that I have, so I can absolutely do it. What it looks like? I'm not sure," she shared.
She also defended her decision to redefine pregnancy fashion and embrace her changing body by wearing a variety of barely dressed outfits to show off her growing baby belly.
Pregnant women deserve better and she's hopeful that she can redefine what constitutes "decent," she explained.
