DJ Kay Slay Cause of Death Revealed
According to HiphopDX, the prolific radio disk jockey died today, Easter Sunday.
Veteran Hip-hop producer Van Silk confirmed the passing of Grayson.
DJ Kay Slay is now one of the many musicians and artists who have succumbed to the COVID-19 virus.
The DJ was hospitalized in December 2021, diagnosed with the virus, and has been recovering from that since.
"Hip Hop lost a real gem. My dear brother is gone. I've known him since he was 16 years old. He was my little brother. I introduced him to many, and we did a lot of things together. We last talked December because we were finishing up the 200 rolling deep project. He was gonna do his video part with MC Sha-Rock," Van Silk told HipHop DX upon confirming his death.
Initial reports of Grayson's death came from Wack 100, one of the peers of the late DJ. However, this is not the first time Wack 100 has spoken about Grayson's death on social media.

When DJ Kay Slay was first hospitalized in 2021, Wack initially suggested that he was already at death's door in a now-debunked Instagram post.
Days after Wack 100 gave the shocking update, DJ Kay Slay's biological brother Kwame Grayson told HipHop DX that his brother was far from dying and was actually getting better at the time.
"He was slowly fading away, but God didn't let that happen. Everything in time and when they found out who he was, they got him powered up again. So he's up and going. He's like in a recovery state, but he's definitely not going to die. You can trust me on that," Kwame said last January 2022.
Four months since his brother provided an update, DJ Kay Slay lost the battle against COVID-19. More information about his death will be revealed in the coming days.
