Finally, some good news for Drake!
Drake Stalker Update as of April 2022
Drake can now be shielded from harm's way after he was granted a restraining order against his alleged stalker.
According to legal documents gathered by Complex, Champagne Papi has been given a permanent restraining order against his alleged stalker, who has been harassing him for years already.
Drizzy's lawyers, Larry Stein and Ashley Yeargan filed the appeal for Drake last March, which they got but only temporarily.
The stalker in question was the one who was arrested in 2017 for breaking in on Drake's Hollywood Hills estate.
Drake Stalker Timeline Explained
In April 2017, CNN reported that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department had arrested a woman after allegedly breaking in on Drake's Hollywood property.
After authorities responded to an attempted burglary alert, they found 24-year-old Mesha Collins inside a room along with unopened water and soda containers.
Although none was stolen, Collins was arrested for burglary and entering a residence with the intent to steal the victim's personal property.
However, she posted a $100,000 bail right away. Drake, who was not on the estate, did not press any charges as he believed that Collins was dealing with some "personal issues."
Fast forward to the summer of 2021, Collins filed a massive defamation lawsuit against the rapper-singer. The controversial and "bizarre" lawsuit claims that Drake has been publicly defaming her on his Instagram account.
Eventually, Drake emerged victoriously and won the 4 billion dollar lawsuit as Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Virginia Keeny dismissed it.
Per Keeney, Collins "has not demonstrated any of defendant [Drake's] statements were about plaintiff Collins or that he used her identity, name, or likeness in his Instagram posts or endorsements."
When everyone thought the weirdness ended there, Collins continued bothering Drake now with a much more bothering tone.
Drake has reportedly been receiving disturbing emails, death threats to be precise, about him and his family.
In one of the messages, which they later identified to have been sent by Collins, it reads: "Put a bullet through your head now bitch."
With the newly secured three-year restraining order expiring on Apr. 11, 2025, Drake will now be protected from Collins.
The restraining order requires Mesha Collina to stay at least a hundred yards away from Drake, his 4-year-old son, his mother, and his father.
Collins was absent from the hearing but was assured that she would be receiving a "timely and proper notice" of the decision.
