Bad Bunny has finally revealed more details on his upcoming sixth album, and he did it in the most unconventional way.
Bad Bunny New Album Reveal Found In Classified Ads?
Eagle-eyed Bad Bunny fans chanced upon an ad for a 2019 Bugatti Chiron on a Puerto Rican classified ads website.
Upon delving deeper into the details of the car for sale, fans noted that the person who was selling it was a guy named Benito A. Martinez.
For those who are unsure who that person is, it is actually Bad Bunny, as it is his real name.
A direct dial number is listed among the details for people to contact the seller. After curious fans pinged the hotline, they were greeted with a surprising revelation.
Per Billboard, fans can then hear a short snippet of what would seem to be Bad Bunny's new upcoming song. Afterwards, callers will, later on, receive a text message with the album name.
"Hello! Thank you for calling. There's little time left until the album comes out. I can't say the date yet, but I can tell you the name: Un Verano Sin Ti (A Summer Without You)," the text message reads.
As peculiar as the announcement would sound, the idea is actually really clever - a way to kickstart the promotion of an upcoming album.
Additional details about his upcoming album, including tracklist, release date, and cover art, have yet to be disclosed in the coming weeks or months. But with this brilliant and interactive promotion, the news might hit the headlines sooner than fans would expect.
Bad Bunny New Album Follows his 'El último Tour del Mundo'
"Un Verano Sin Ti (A Summer Without You)" will follow his latest album "El último Tour del Mundo." His latest album recently earned a GRAMMY award for Best Música Urbana Album.
El Conejo Malo recently hinted at his album and highly grossing tour on an Instagram video with his girlfriend, Gabriela Berlingeri.
"We need to start worrying less and enjoy life more because it passes by fast, very fast, just like the tickets selling out for El último Tour del Mundo. I was thinking, 'What if I announce my next tour?' Therefore, while I work on my new album, which will come out this year, you can buy tickets for my next tour," Bunny said.
On the other hand, his record-breaking tour was reported to have earned $117 million, with more than 500,000 tickets sold across the United States. (via Billboard Boxscore)
