Soulja Boy may be the saving grace for VH1's Love and Hip-Hop: L.A.
According to TMZ, the "Crank That" rapper has just been added to the reality show's cast. Sources close to production told the site adding Soulja was a last ditch attempt to save the show.
The hit show's Los Angeles spinoff has reportedly been struggling with weak story lines and uninteresting characters so producers sought out a big name rapper to pump some life into things.
Ray J has already signed on for the show's first season and he's excited to star on the show with Soulja Boy, according to sources close to him.
Producers think the singer-rapper duo will be a hit. If they're looking for something to get folks talking, Soulja will deliver.
Last month, fans called the "Donk" rhymer out for posting fake $100 bills on Instagram.
As previously reported, fans thought Soulja was trying to pull the wool over their eyes when he posted a photo of a mix of $100 bills and white paper to make the money appear more than the actual amount.
"Am I the only one that realizes those are white pieces of paper under the 100 on top!!!!!!! Look close!!!! WTF," wrote one fan under the picture.
The photo has since been removed from his profile but Soulja Boy took to Twitter to clarify.
Apparently, the money was being used a props for a video. He tweeted:
