Madonna and her considerably younger lover, Ahlamalik Williams, have called it quits. This is the middle of her busy schedule - finishing her biopic, creating her new music, and many more. Will this heartbreak ruin her momentum?
The queen of music, 63, and Williams, 28, were last seen together in January on a romantic dinner date, and their relationship appears to have deteriorated in recent weeks.
According to the insider however, the split has not affected Madonna greatly - as the legend opts to just continue working on her music and enjoying time with her friends and family. In fact, it is this horselike focus on her career that could have caused the split in the first place.
"Madonna has thrown herself into a busy social life and has been seeing her friends and family after the split," an insider told The Sun about what fueled their breakup.
"She has a packed schedule, working on her upcoming biopic, new music and looking after her family," added the source, mentioning they have been on and off. "With them both working on other things, it was hard to keep their romance alight."
Their relationship looks to be entirely platonic at the moment. The more important thing is that there is no bad blood between them despite the split. There remains a "lot of love," between them, the source said. They just recognized the fact that they "are at different places with their lives" at the moment.

Does this mean a reconciliation can still happen? This remains to be seen. Madonna's staff has not given any comment about it just yet.
The "Material Girl" singer and her now ex-boyfriend were recently joined by her son David at Cecconi's in West Hollywood.
Madonna and Williams appeared to be in a good mood that evening, smiling at photographers while she affectionately placed her arm around his.
Williams' father, Drue, previously stated that the pair met in 2015 during Williams' audition for her Rebel Heart tour. He was chosen by Madonna as one of her backup dancers.
While some fans have chastised the two for their 35-year age difference, Drue emphasized that "love knows no age."
By February 2021, Madonna was more than ready to declare her love on social media, paying a touching tribute to Williams and toasting their progress together.
"Been around the world with my valentine this year," she gushed in her caption alongside pics of the duo packing on PDA. "Oh what a beautiful trip. Happy Valentine's Day, Mr. Williams."
