Since technology is taking over the world day by day, many celebrities perform in virtual spaces, popularly known as the "metaverse." Lizzo is up for the challenge as she's set to sing her latest song on Roblox.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Good As Hell" songstress will be performing at the second annual Song Breaker Awards.
For the first time in history, the awards show will take place on Roblox, a popular online game.
The event will award some of the best content creators contributing to pop music through social media trends, dance challenges, and memes on TikTok and YouTube.
In a statement, Lizzo said she's excited for her metaverse debut with Logitech. The flutist revealed that she would perform "Special," the latest single from her upcoming album of the same name.
"As a musician and creator, I love that Logitech Song Breaker Awards show recognizes the unique talent of all creators, and how each of them are making an impact on pop culture and music," the singer added.
This is not the first time Lizzo teamed up with Logitech, as she collaborated with the company to share a small snippet of her "Special" title track a few months ago.
It was a part of the brand's "DEFY LOGIC" campaign.
The track was later premiered during her performance on "Saturday Night Live" a few weeks ago.
Hosted by Bretman Rock, Logitech's 2022 Song Breaker Awards will also highlight ten creators like Vano 3000, Walker Hayes, Tracy Joseph, David Vu, Dreya Mac, JUKE, and many more.
GAYLE, popularly known for her TikTok smash hit "abcdefu," will receive the Song Breaker of the Year award for topping the charts for three consecutive months.
The awards show will premiere on Roblox this weekend, April 30, at 10 a.m. P.T.
The latest announcement from Lizzo comes a week after the singer released the highly-anticipated single "About Damn Time," a song that she teased fans during her appearance on "The Late Late Show With James Corden."
She also took to her social media accounts to announce her upcoming album and its album art titled "Special."
The album will hit record stores and online streaming platforms on July 15.
Aside from new music, Lizzo will also get back on tour after three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
