Tim McGraw is 55 on May 1, but he says he has nothing planned except to spend the day with his wife. That's hardly "nothing" to us.
"I'm not a big birthday celebrator," the singer explains in an interview. "In fact, our whole family, we're not big birthday celebrators. I mean, we have parties and stuff like that every now and then for big ones, but we're not big birthday celebrators, and I don't have anything planned."
"To me, a perfect night on my 55th birthday would be to hang with my wife on the couch and watch a great movie," he added. Sounds like a legit plan for us!
Faith Hill, another country superstar, is McGraw's wife. McGraw says they rarely look back, instead focusing on the next chapter of their careers and being great parents to their three adult kids.
We believe Faith Hill is one of the reasons McGraw has gotten so successful and wealthy. A wife who shares your aspirations can do that.
Happy Birthday Tim McGraw! Read on for more about one of the most successful country singers today.
Tim McGraw Net Worth 2022

Tim McGraw Age, Biography
Tim McGraw was born in Louisiana to Betty Ann D'Agostino and Tum McGraw Jr. He grew up believing his stepfather, Horace Smith, was his father. Tim Smith was his name from his mother's marriage to his father's. When he was 11 years old, he found his birth certificate in his mother's closet, and she told him his biological father was Tug McGraw. For seven years, she would deny being Tim's father, and Tug would deny it. Tug realized Tim's resemblance to him at 18 and consented to acknowledge paternity. Tug died in 2004.
Tim McGraw will catch Curb Records' eye in 1990. He got a deal and started putting together his debut album. "Welcome to the Club" was his first chart breakthrough in 1992. It was also the first track of his 1993 self-titled first album. "Two Steppin' Mind" and "Memory Lane" were Tim McGraw's two modest singles from the album. His second album, "Not a Moment Too Soon," became the year's best-selling country album. His follow-up, "All I Want," sold over 2 million copies.
The rest is history. But Faith Hill came and make his career even the more sweeter.
Faith Hill Changing His Career...and Life
McGraw would go on tour with Faith Hill in 1996. After the tour ended in October, the two married in a star-studded wedding that drew extensive media attention. It also benefited his subsequent release, with "Everywhere" being another crossover smash in 1997. Despite selling over 4 million copies, the album failed to replicate its success on the mainstream charts. "It's Your Love," a duet between Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, achieved #1 on the country chart and #10 on the pop list. "Everywhere," "Just to See You Smile," and "Where the Green Grass Grows" were the album's top three singles, while "For a Little While" and "One of These Days" were number two.
"Set This Circus Down" was released in 2001 and earned him four chart-topping singles. "Bring on the Rain" with Jo Dee Messina hit #1 in 2002. For the follow-up, he went into the studio with his touring band rather than session musicians. He chose The Dancehall Doctors, a band formed in 1996. The album, released in late 2002, featured the hit songs "She's My Kind of Rain" and "Red Rag Top," as well as an incredible cover of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer." Using his road band, he co-mixed and produced 2004's chart-topping hit "Live Like You Were Dying."
The duo headlined the "Soul2Soul II Tour" in 2006. They made over $140 million, making them the highest-grossing country tour ever. It was also one of the top twenty-earning tours in music history. Let's Make Love" and "Like We Never Loved At All" both won Grammy Awards in 2001 and 2006.
