Lil Jon is popularly known for his hit tracks like "Turn Down For What" or "Get Low," usually played at highly-energetic parties as his songs feature intense beats and raging vocals. Today, it seems like the rapper is switching careers for a while to try new things.

According to People Magazine, the famed rapper will be starring in his new HGTV series "Lil Jon Wants to Do What?"

In an interview, the rapper dished out and gave fans an insight on what to expect on his new show, saying it's not going to be all about "screaming and partying" as he's known to do those things.

"It's really about catching a vibe from people, listening to the homeowners, and [giving them] a place where they can create memories with their family," the 50-year-old hitmaker said.

Every episode will feature Lil Jon and designer Anitra Mecadon as they, together with a particular family, renovate a section of their house on a budget.

The pairing may seem a bit odd for some; many fans didn't know their connection had been going on for years.

Five years ago, a pipe burst and flooded the rapper's home in Atlanta. The situation led him to call Mecadon and hire her to help with the renovation.

For the anticipated episodes, there were also musical references from Lil Jon's music catalog.

In the first episode, Joy referenced "Turn Down for What" while they were discussing tearing walls down in a basement.

Throughout the show, he will also discover homeowners that turned out to be big fans of his music.

"You think they're super buttoned-up, but they're actually cooler than you think, you're going to see some people take some shots," he teased fans.

Elsewhere in the interview, the rapper opened up about transitioning into television from making music, saying it's cool because "that's how you have longevity."

He noted that he has to grow because music won't always be relevant, and he learned that he needs to be able to "adapt, change, grow and always stay ahead."

Despite being busy with his TV career, the outlet noted that he still performs at several nightclubs in Las Vegas, Nevada, through a TAO Group residency.

He also has a song collaboration with El Alfa and Daddy Yankee titled "Bombón."
