The Judds were supposed to embark on their fall 2022 tour, but Naomi Judd tragically died.

Following her passing, her family intends to meet and discuss The Judds' forthcoming fall tour.

Naomi Judd committed suicide last Saturday, according to reports.

On the same day, her children announced their mother's death on social media, calling it a "tragedy."

"We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that her public loved her as we loved her. We are in unknown territory."

Her death occurred months before she was scheduled to perform on stage with her eldest daughter, Wynonna.

"The family is gathering this week to discuss about the situation of the impending tour to determine how and if it can proceed in a different incarnation," a source told People magazine.

"They want to be respectful of their legacy, but more importantly, what Naomi would have wanted for her family and fans."

Naomi Judd and her daughter reunited for a performance at the Country Music Awards just weeks before her untimely death. They also revealed that they would be returning to the road after a ten-year hiatus.

"The Final Tour" was scheduled to begin on September 30 in Michigan and conclude on October 28 in Tennessee.

Martina McBride was set to perform as the opening act.

Meanwhile, The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday.

Wynonna and her younger sister, actress Ashley Judd, attended the induction ceremony and spoke about their late mother through tears.

Ashley told the audience, "I'm sorry that she couldn't hang on until today," while Wynonna added, "Though my heart is broken, I will continue to sing."

Naomi Judd's Mental Health Battle

Naomi Judd didn't hold back when it came to discussing her mental health issues.

In a 2016 interview with "Good Morning America," she stated that she was suffering from "severe depression," which had forced her into isolation.

Her illness actually worsened after she and Wynonna stopped traveling in 2011.

Naomi admitted at the time, "I'd come home and not leave the house for three weeks, never changing out of my pajamas, and not practicing regular hygiene. It was a disaster."

In her 2016 book, "River of Time," the singer-songwriter also discussed her mental health struggles and admitted to contemplating suicide at a bridge near her property.

Her eldest daughter, however, admitted in 2021 that she attempted suicide when she was 18 years old. Wynonna continues to struggle from depression to this day.

Ashley, on the other hand, reported that she joined a treatment center in 2006 for a variety of difficulties including depression, codependence in relationships, discounting feelings, and numbing.
