BTS' Suga has recently collaborated with Korean superstar Psy on the launch of his ninth album, "Psy 9th." Particularly, Suga was credited for the production of his massive collaboration "That That," where he also sang beside Psy.

"That That" was released last week, and since then, it has racked up over 17,000,000 streams on Spotify already, and its music video has more than 111,000,000 views.

The glittery-cowboy-themed music video marked PSY's first song since 2017 and the BTS member's latest effort as a producer and a solo artist.

Notably, Suga was part of the KPop global sensation BTS who have dominated Billboard charts, filled concert arenas, and broke records as the first Korean Boy group.

For Suga, he thinks the success of KPop in Western countries, particularly in the United States and worldwide, could be attributed to his most recent collaborator.

In a recent interview with the two KPop superstars, Suga revealed that he looked up to PSY as a now full-blown Korean hitmaker.

"He was always someone I was grateful for. With 'Gangnam Style,' he paved the way for K-pop in the U.S. so that we were able to follow his footsteps with ease," he revealed in a Vlog posted on PSY's YouTube channel.

Not only did he attribute it to PSY, but he also mentioned how "Gangnam Style" opened up KPOP in the western and global audience.

Gangnam Style provided a breakthrough for Korean pop music as it peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks straight. The song was so huge it became a pop culture anthem; it became a benchmark in the music industry because of its massive digital success.

In another video with Suga, he also revealed that the collaboration came as a surprise for him. (via Billboard)

"To be honest, I haven't gotten that close with anyone I collab with, it's because I'm not usually the type to meet up with collaborators in person," Suga explained. "But [Psy] he wanted to see me in person," he said.

Later on, the 29-year-old singer said that PSY only wanted him to produce the track initially, but "he ended up featuring on the track."
