Young Thug was charged with seven more felony offenses, including cocaine possession and illegal guns, on May 11, days after being mentioned in a sweeping indictment of alleged Atlanta gang members.

According to county jail records, the rapper (whose actual name is Jeffery Williams) is now facing a number of extra charges that can land him long and hard in jail, including the possession of controlled narcotics with intent to distribute.

Another heavy charge is the possession of unidentifiable prohibited firearms, such as a machine gun or a sawed-off shotgun.

According to a report by Atlanta's WSB-TV, the new accusations stemmed from items discovered in Young Thug's residence during his arrest on Monday. This, after Young Thug's father said his son was being unfairly linked to gang-related crimes.

The rapper was already charged with illegal gang activities and conspiracy to violate the state's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. The new counts add to the previous indictment. No new charging paperwork has been made public, and little information is available beyond the charges themselves.

In the original 88-page indictment released on Monday, prosecutors alleged that Young Thug, Gunna, and 26 others were members of a violent street gang called Young Slime Life. The different members of the YSL stand accused of a variety of crimes, including murder, carjacking, armed robbery, drug trafficking, and illegal firearm possession.

On Monday, Young Thug was arrested. On Wednesday morning, Gunna was booked into custody. Other accused YSL members have also been apprehended, but a significant number remain at large.

Tuesday, Young Thug's attorney Brian Steel informed local reporters that Mr. Williams had not conduct any crime and that he would "fight until his last drop of blood to exonerate him." The attorney for Gunna did not immediately respond to Billboard's request for comment.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis stated at a press conference on Tuesday that YSL had "wreaked havoc on our community" and that she would seek "maximum sanctions" for those involved, including life in prison for some.

"It does not matter what your notoriety is, what your fame is," Willis said. "If you come to Fulton County, Georgia, and you commit crimes ... we are going to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law."
