Charlie Puth is mourning the loss of Brady, his pet dog. On Wednesday, the "Light Switch" singer tweeted the tragic news alongside a recent snapshot of the couple lounging by the pool.
"Brady the King Charles Cavalier moved on to puppy heaven last night after spending an amazing 15 years here on earth," Charlie wrote on Instagram. "And although he physically won't be here anymore, his tiny spirit lingers on and I can't wait to catch glimpses of that."
Charlie concluded his statement by referencing his Grammy-nominated song from 2014 and writing, "I shall see you again someday, little dog."
Many of Charlie's prominent acquaintances, like OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and actor John Owen Lowe, offered their sorrow.
Charlie's affection for Brady grew over the years, and he once attributed his dating success to his dog. In 2015, he told MTV that he took the dog on his "first date ever" due to his anxiety.
"She was like, 'Oh my gosh I have a King Charles Cavalier, too!' I'm like, 'Money, perfect, amazing,'" he recalled, noting Brady was the best wingman.
This loss comes after the singer revealed just last month how big of a heartbreak he suffered before the pandemic. Puth, 30 years old, declared 2019 to be the "f-king worst year" of his life.

2019 saw the end of the songwriter's romance with model and fellow pop sensation Charlotte Lawrence, although he did not mention her in the video. He said he never told anyone what happened to me and the pain he endured during the most painful breakup of his life on that year. He shared that he just wanted to simply sweep the whole thing under the rug and surround himself with better people.
However, the Grammy nominee highlighted that he is "very happy" to be releasing a new song last April, even though it does focus on his heartbreak.
On Valentine's Day 2019, Puth made his relationship with Lawrence, who is now 21, Instagram-official with a romantic black-and-white mirror selfie.
After seven months, Puth confirmed that they had separated. He said that people should stop asking already and at the same time, not believe anything they read online, except from him.
It looks that Puth, who dated "We Don't Talk Anymore" collaborator Selena Gomez for a brief period in 2016, has not had a significant relationship since the breakup. Last summer, Lawrence was romantically linked to Rita Ora's ex-boyfriend, music producer Andrew Watt.
