Johnny Depp's lifelong association with notorious shock rocker Marilyn Manson has been regularly cited at his ongoing trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, but his radical fan following is now pushing it in a totally different direction. According to the supporters, if it is highly possible that Amber Heard "faked" her abuse, then Rachel Wood - Marilyn Monroe's accuser, could have too!

Depp is suing his ex-spouse for $50 million, alleging she defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post opinion piece in which she claimed she was a victim of domestic violence.

Superfans of Depp have begun a #JusticeforJohnnyDepp social media campaign accusing Heard, 36, of being a "psychotic witch" and a "manipulative liar."

Now that the trial has been adjourned until the following Monday, the actor's obsessive admirers have shifted their focus to Manson, 53, who became friends with Depp, 58, in the 1990s.

Twitter has been filled with thousands of instances of the hashtag #IStandWithMarilynManson in the past week alone.

Like Depp, Manson, whose birth name was Brian Warner, was brought down by charges of abuse made by a prominent ex-lover.

Evan Rachel Wood, 34, accused Manson of "horrific" torture on her Instagram post in February 2021, stating, "I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail."

The three-time Emmy nominee further claimed she was "groomed" by Manson when they met in 2006, noting their age gap of almost 20. She was 18 and he was 37.

Some ardent Depp supporters have turned to Twitter to point out what they feel are similarities between Heard and Wood, claiming that Manson, like Depp, might be the victim of false charges.

Both Heard and Wood are blonde actresses in their thirties whose partnerships with older and more prominent men have increased their visibility.

Even photographs of the duo together have prompted a frenzy of conspiracy theories.

"In the world of showbiz there's always two toxic friends who decide to put ["Mean Girls" villain] Regina George to shame and that's Amber Heard and Evan Rachel Wood," one person wrote, above a snap of the two starlets visibly having fun on on a dine out.

Some said there are so "many similarities between Amber Heard and Evan Rachel Wood," noting they could be potraying "innocent" girls while "faking" their abuse.
