A bereaved lady has filed a new wrongful death lawsuit against Travis Scott, alleging that she had a miscarriage after the fatal Astroworld event.
Shanazia Williamson blamed the TKN rapper, 31, and festival organizers for a "failure to plan, design, manage, operate, staff, and supervise the event" that resulted in the deaths of ten festivalgoers in November 2021.
According to Shanazia, the lack of preparation caused her injuries and the death of her and her husband's unborn child. She is also suing festival organizers Live Nation, Scoremore Holdings, ASM Global, Harris Co. Sports & Convention, and others. Williamson claimed she was crushed and trampled during that night's mob surge and first filed a complaint solely for her injuries, stating she was suffering from difficulty in breathing, chest pain, and left leg pain.
According to Rolling Stone, she lodged a revised case a month and a half later, citing wrongful death and stomach injuries.
Based on Texas law, a fetus who dies due to negligence might be the subject of a wrongful death claim. Nearly 5,000 guests have reported being hurt at the fatal music festival. Hundreds of lawsuits have been filed against the event organizers, managers, and artists in the aftermath of the disaster, which claimed the life of a 9-year-old child. They have been merged and assigned to a single judge.

Scott apologized in a social media video shortly after the tragedy occurred, but it wasn't until his first in-depth interview last December that he gave his viewpoint on what transpired that evening. The Goosebumps hitmaker informed Charlamagne Tha God that he was unaware of the unfolding events throughout his performance.
"I stopped a couple times to make sure everybody was OK. And I really just go off of the fans' energy as a collective call-and-response ... I just didn't hear that," Scott said.
In addition, he conveyed a message to those who lost loved ones on that tragic evening. "I'd say to them that I'm always here," the Houston native added. "And that I'm in this with you guys and I love you and I'll always be there to help you heal through this."
