The death of The Wanted's Tom Parker shocked the British music scene and the entire world as he succumbed to a longstanding battle with a brain tumor.

But before his tragic demise, one global sensation made a huge impact on Tom Parker's life. This person's contribution probably helped The Wanted member spend more time with his family and even eased up the already immense burden that he was going to leave his family.

Unbeknownst to many, Ed Sheeran and Tom Parker had shared a special friendship when the former was still alive.

More than a month since his tragic demise, Tom Parker, through his estate, will release his memoir, "Hope: My Inspirational Life."

In one of the except of his upcoming memoir, he revealed that Ed Sheeran has "selflessly financed" his medical bills while he is in the hospital. (via Page Six)

"I've never publicly said this before (and he'll probably be mad that I'm doing it now), but Ed is a very special man - he even helped out with my medical bills when I was seeking other treatment options and having private immunotherapy," he wrote in the except which The Sun has obtained.

Tom Parker died at 33-years-old last March 30, 2022, after losing to glioblastoma, an inoperable brain tumor that was diagnosed in October 2020.

During his cancer battle, Parker's friends have ensured that he is getting the best care that he needs considering the massive tumor. Ed Sheeran was one of the many who offered a helping hand to Parker.

The two's friendship stemmed way back when the "Shape of You" singer joined The Wanted's tour almost ten years ago.

"He [Ed Sheeran] didn't need to do any of that, but my wife Kelsey and I are so grateful to him for his support, it meant the world," Tom revealed.

Parker has undergone chemotherapy at the time and several radiation treatments to possibly cure the tumor. In November 2021, he announced that his tumor was already "under control." However, cancer emerged again.

The 33-year-old singer was survived by his wife, Kelsey Parker, their 2-year-old daughter Aurelia Parker, and their 1-year-old son, Bodhi Parker.
