Did P. Diddy lip sync during his 2022 Billboard Music Awards medley performance?
Social media users accused and questionedthe event host about why he was not singing live.
"I appreciate Diddy not having to introduce himself, but the lip-syncing killed me," one Twitter user said.
"Diddy's shameless lip-syncing is sending me," said another.
During his high-energy performance, the American rapper made sure to put on a show for the packed house in Las Vegas, Nevada, by bringing out surprise guests such as Bryson Tiller and Jack Harlow.
The Harlem, New York native, 52, performed renditions of his hit songs "Mo Money, Mo Problems" and "Gotta Move On."
Leading up to the Billboard Music Awards, Diddy, born Sean Combs, hinted that he would be performing as well as hosting and executive producing the prestigious music event.
"You're going to see a step or two," Diddy said ahead of the show.
"Whatever I have to do. I'm the consummate showman. And if you're not hype enough, I might have to do one of my numbers back from whatever."
He honored the night's biggest musical celebrities during the opening ceremony of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. He even made a cryptic remark about the 2022 Academy Awards, referencing Will Smith's infamous slap at Chris Rock.
"If you're feeling a little froggy tonight, don't feel froggy, but if you're feeling a little froggy and you decide to jump on this stage here tonight, I do suggest you have your affairs in order," the "I'll Be Missing You" hitmaker joked.
P. Diddy Chastised for 'Un-Cancelling' Morgan Wallen and Travis Scott
In an interview with Billboard, the hip-hop star claimed that they were un-cancelling those who had been canceled because there was no room for judges.
Several social media users slammed Diddy for even making the statement.
Travis appeared at an award show for the first time since the Astroworld tragedy, in which ten people died as a result of asphyxia during his performance.
Morgan, on the other hand, made headlines for using the n-word in a leaked video that circulated on the internet.
"It's time to forgive," Diddy said, referring to the controversial musicians.
However, Diddy's remarks have enraged music fans.
On Twitter, one user stated, "I wish the media would cancel Diddy," one person said, while another added, "How brave of him to be a follower and try to ride the wave." Lol. Where had he been?"
