Dua Lipa will be adding "actor" to her resume after landing a major role in the next "Barbie" film.
After making her film debut in "Argylle" later this year, the 26-year-old singer will join Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, and Saoirse Ronan, according to reports on Wednesday.
Rumors began to circulate that Margot, who is playing the major role in the Mattel-made doll, will be more than simply "Barbie" in the project.
The film is now under production in the United Kingdom.
According to an insider who spoke to The Sun, the "Levitating" hitmaker is creating waves both in music and on the big screen.
And word has traveled across Hollywood that she is a brilliant actor as a result of her outstanding performance in "Argylle."
"Although 'Argylle' is a major film in its own right, Barbie will be a breakout part for Dua since there is so much excitement about it," the insider continued.
The 26-year-old is also believed to be "fast demonstrating" that she is more than simply a music star.
"She has a bright career in movies ahead of her."
Two "Barbies" in the Movie?
This follows reports that Margot Robbie will not be the only "Barbie" in the film.
The 31-year-old "Harley Quinn" character actress is the main, but other actors will play various Mattel doll incantations in the live-action film.
According to Kyle Buchanan of the New York Times, Ryan Gossling will not be the only Ken in the film, but Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa will also portray the part.
He continued in his tweet, "By the same token, Margot Robbie is not the only Barbie in the picture. Issa Rae and Hari Nef portray various Barbies."

According to sources, plot elements are still being withheld, although there is a meta aspect to the narrative.
Will Farrell is said to be playing the CEO of a toy manufacturer, with many speculating that it may be Mattel.
Margot Robbie has long been linked to the role of the blonde doll in a film, and she has assured that the character would be significantly different from what fans expect.
