The Beatles has one song that tackles John Lennon's mess and his son's heartbreaking childhood.

Years after Lennon's death, his son Julian Lennon still endures the pain he went through as a child. One of the band's songs even tells the story behind the heartbreak and the late singer's mistake.

During an interview on Elton John's "Rocket Hour," Lennon's son Julian spoke about his latest album, Jude, following the release of his tracks "Freedom" and "Every Little Moment."

He told the Rocketman how hard it was to confront the pain of his childhood, although it inspired one of The Beatles' greatest hits. According to Julian, the album's title - "Jude" - shows his determination to face his past and embrace the heartbreak that comes with it and that one The Beatles' song that Paul McCartney created for him.

"It felt very much a sort of coming of age. Especially as life moves on, you tend to look at your life and look at where you've come from. And especially after having seen the Get Back movie with (half-brother) Sean and (George Harrison's daughter) Olivia, and then Stella (McCartney) being there. I mean, I'd had the idea of the name before that, but it was just made so that it felt even more right," he said.

The Beatles' "Hey Jude," as it turns out, is a song about him and Lennon's mistake that ruined their family.

Although it talks about his pain, Julian eventually honored the song while paying respect to his legacy and heritage.

"Hey Jude" became one of the most successful and most listened to tracks due to its lyrics and beat. However, it did not win any of the first nominations it initially received - Grammy Awards of 1969's Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

Julian Lennon Knew John Lennon Loved Yoko Ono

Julian's new interview mirrored his statements during an episode on SiriusXM Volume radio show, "Debatable" (via The Independent UK).

Julian revealed that he was not aware of what was happening between his parents. However, it finally sank in when he started seeing Yoko Ono more frequently than usual.

"I wasn't really aware of what was going on except when I started seeing Yoko [Ono] around, obviously, that made a bit of an impact, and apparently I struggled with the separation a great deal at five. I would have raving moments of being a screaming child, but those moments haven't stuck with me," he said, as quoted by PEOPLE.

Still, he once noted in an interview with The Telegraph in 2011 that he put off the idea of marriage and having kids since he did not want to do the same thing his father did.

For what it's worth, The Irish Times once noted how Lennon had a bent for cruelty when he and Ono welcomed Sean Lennon. The "Don't Let Me Down" singer said that Sean was the product of love, while Julian was a product of a whiskey bottle.

In the end, he saved himself through his new album, "Jude."
