Good news for Lovatics! Demi Lovato is entering a new music era, and they finally revealed the official title of the first single off their 8th studio album.
According to Billboard, the singer subtly confirmed the title after a fan account shared that a song titled "Skin of My Teeth" would be Lovato's new song, citing "the streets" as a source.
A fan was skeptical, so they asked "what street" are they referring to. The "Cool For The Summer" hitmaker replied, "My street."
The former Disney star then shared the screenshot on their Instagram stories. However, they haven't revealed when it is coming out.
This is not the first time the 29-year-old singer teased fans about new music, as they revealed in April that the yet-to-be-titled album would be tackling their personal journey in life.
"Getting emotional listening to my new album because I'm so proud of it, it's my absolute best yet and so representative of me, where I started and who I am today," the singer wrote.
Regarding the sound of her new song and record, many fans think that Lovato will return to their punk rock roots, similar to their debut album "Don't Forget" and 2009's "Here We Go Again," released under Disney's Hollywood Records.
The "Camp Rock" star staged a "funeral" for their pop music early this year. Taking to their Instagram account, the singer shared a picture of them and music executives from Island Records and Scooter Braun.
They posed with both middle fingers up while everyone in the picture wore black.
Lovato then shared two teasers of a new rock song on their stories.
The lyrics read, "Yeah you're pushing me to the edge/ Prod me, lie to me, ungodly things have been sent/ Here are your tickets to the freak show baby, sci-fi, watch the freak go crazy."
As of this writing, Demi Lovato has not publicly confirmed an official release date for their album.
Their last album, titled "Dancing With the Devil... The Art of Starting Over," was released in 2021. The record featured famous singers like Ariana Grande, Noah Cyrus, Sam Fischer, and Saweetie.
The record, which heavily featured the pop genre, was successful as it peaked at number two on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.
