The fans have clamored for new music and Sam Hunt has listened. He will be releasing a four-song EP, X2C, on August 12, 2014 to digital outlets. The project will showcase his major label album debut, which will hit stores on October 27th through MCA Records Nashville.
Since the June release of his single, "Leave The Night On," to country radio, Sam has consistently been Spotify’s #1-streamed country artist in the U.S. and a Top 30-streamed artist across all genres. The song has sold nearly 200,000 tracks so far.
In a press release, Sam talked about X2C, saying, "I can’t wait to share a few early tracks from the album. We’ve been having so much fun with the music out on the road and I’m excited to get this music out to our fans."
X2C Track Listing:
- Leave The Night On (Sam Hunt, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne)
- Ex To See (Sam Hunt, Josh Osborne, Matt Ramsey)
- House Party (Sam Hunt, Zach Crowell, Jerry Flowers)
- Breakup In A Small Town (Sam Hunt, Zach Crowell, Shane McAnally)
We may be counting down to Hunt's debut, but he is hardly an unknown name in Nashville. The man who was recently named one of Rolling Stone's "10 New Artists You Need to Know: Summer 2014" is a hit songwriter with some big names on his list... To his writing credit, Sam has Billy Currington’s latest Top 5 hit "We Are Tonight," Keith Urban’s Top 10 single "Cop Car," and Kenny Chesney's #1 chartbuster, "Come Over" on his resume. He co-wrote all of the songs on X2C and the upcoming album, so there may well be more hits in his near future.
Sam has shared the stage with folks like David Nail and Little Big Town and this September, he will be joining Kip Moore and Charlie Worsham on CMT On Tour: Kip Moore Up In Smoke.
