After teasing fans and giving away numerous clues all over social media, Demi Lovato has finally confirmed and announced an official release date for their highly-anticipated single from their eighth studio album.
According to iHeart, fans who subscribed to the former Disney star's mailing list were shocked to receive a cryptic e-mail featuring a newspaper called "The Daily Journal."
The paper features a picture of the singer in the middle with the distasteful headline "Demi leaves rehab again!" "Demi Lovato, 29, Seen With Mysterious Substance In The City," "Freak Demi Lovato Screams Eat Me To Paparazzi," "HOLY F*** DEMI LOVATO WASTED," and many more.
An obituary can also be seen in the bottom part of the newspaper that reads, "Demi Lovato's Pop Music Career 09/2011 - 01/20/2022."
After dropping a hint and the newsletter, the "Cool For The Summer" singer finally confirmed the news on social media, writing "Skin of My Teeth June 10th."
Aside from the official album art, Lovato also shared a short teaser for their music video featuring the single.
The singer is going back to their punk rock roots based on the teaser as electric guitars, and energetic beats can be heard in the background.
The "Nightingale" hitmaker's first two albums under Disney's Hollywood Records, "Don't Forget" and "Here We Go Again," are both under the punk rock genre.
The latest announcement comes a few months after the "Camp Rock" star teased fans about new music. In April, the singer said they are working on the untitled album, and the story will revolve around their journey in life.
Lovato said they got emotional listening to their new project, writing, "it's my absolute best yet and so representative of me, where I started and who I am today."
The "Sonny With a Chance" star also staged a funeral with Island Records executives and their manager Scooter Braun.
They posed together wearing black, while both Lovato's middle fingers were pointing at the camera.
The last time Lovato released an album was in 2021, titled "Dancing With the Devil... The Art of Starting Over."
The record featured famous singers like Saweetie, Ariana Grande, Noah Cyrus, and Sam Fischer.
As of this writing, Lovato has not publicly confirmed when their eighth studio album will be released to the public.
