Former Member of Puff Daddy's Da Band Arrested For Domestic Violence Charges

Ex-Da Band singer Sara Stokes is making headlines once again but not for her singing.

According to TMZ, Stokes was arrested on domestic violence charges following a fight with her husband Tony on July 21.

The site reports police found the married couple brawling outside of the house while she was allegedly drunk around 3:45am and now, she's landed a spot in jail for the next 93 days.

Reports indicate this isn't Stokes' first run in with the law.

She stabbed her husband in 2009 and was sentenced to three years probation in a plea deal.

Vibe reports Stokes' lawyer, Eric Kayira, issued this suspect statement saying, "Sara and Tony have a very passionate and loving relationship that on August 2, while having an evening of fun, she slipped and fell, hitting her head heavily on the ground and somehow in the process of helping her Tony got injured."

Da Band was put together by Puff Daddy on his MTV reality show Making The Band. During the shows following seasons, Puff also put together groups like Danity Kane and Day26.

As previously reported, members of Danity Kane were recently involved in a brawl during a recording session in Los Angeles.

Aubrey O'Day and Dawn Richard came to physical blows while in an L.A. recording studio, with Richard reportedly punching O'Day in the head. The third DK member, Shannon Bex, unsuccessfully attempted to break up the fight.

It was reported O'Day then filed a battery report to police, as confirmed by MTV News. The LAPD noted that a report was taken following the incident, with O'Day marked as the victim in the fight.
