Dave Navarro shared a worrying update about his health with his fans.
Dave Navarro's band, Jane's Addiction, was supposed to perform on the stage of the Welcome to Rockville festival. However, they decided not to push through with their plans and allowed Porno for Pyros have their first-ever reunion in 26 years instead.
The band revealed that they asked Porno for Pyros to replace them due to Navarro's "long bout with COVID-19," and the guitarist himself offered an update about his health.
Is Dave Navarro OK?
In a since-deleted Instagram post, Navarro said he has been suffering since December due to the lingering effects of COVID-19.
"If there are any of you who are still suffering long after your negative results, I'm just saying you aren't alone. The fatigue and isolation is pretty awful but tries to spend your time with the ones you love and stay creative. That's how I'm trying to get through this thing. Also lots of spiritual practices, meditation, and yoga have been very helpful. I'll be ok, just don't know when," he continued, per Ultimate Classic Rock and Culture.
He shared the update alongside a picture of him naked while sitting atop a piano.

As for the reason why he chose the image despite being unrelated to his update, Navarro explained that he needed to find fun or some levity somewhere.
With that, he thanked his fans for their support as he continues his journey toward full recovery.
After missing the Welcome to Rockville festival, Jane's Addiction will play at the Lollapalooza festival on July 31 before going on a tour with Smashing Pumpkins.
Dave Navarro Also Fighting Against Mental Health Issues
While working on his health, Navarro famously worked on mental illness and mental health through an art collaboration with L.A. artist PADHiA. The duo created fine art, street art, and prints, under the name Duel Diagnosis.
"I think in a lot of ways PADHiA [who is a PTSD survivor] and I working together as Duel Diagnosis is part of our recovery process. I can't tell you how many times we've said to each other, 'Man, if it wasn't for you, I don't know if I would be breathing.' We've had some dark times recently," Navarro told Variety.
His struggles with heroin became part of his 2004 memoir, "Don't Try This at Home."
