Kendrick Lamar's much-anticipated newest album, "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers," was finally released weeks ago. It is the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed 2017 album, "DAMN."

In his new record, Kendrick Lamar has again impressed critics, receiving mainly overwhelming positive feedback despite the album's profound meanings and complex themes.

All eighteen songs of the double album, including the non-album single that Lamar has released a week prior, have launched on the Billboard Hot 100, being among the few artists in the industry to achieve such a feat.

On the Billboard Hot 100 charts dated May 28, 2022, Kendrick Lamar seemingly dominated the chart's Top 10 list, with four of his tracks at the top.

"N95" ranked the highest at No. 3, "Die Hard" hits No. 5," while "Silent Hill" and "United In Grief" settles at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.

Elsewhere in the charts at No. 16 is Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Paige's poignant collaboration "We Cry Together."

Kendrick Lamar's 'We Cry Together' Historic Because of THIS?

As Variety describes it, the track is a "really upsetting song, and something many people would want to hear once and maybe not be in a hurry to hear again."

One of the most emotive songs on the album, the song recently achieved a historic feat on this week's Billboard charts, but not quite on a positive note.

As XXL first reported, "We Cry Together" sees the biggest single-week Billboard Hot 100 Drop Ever - from No. 16, the song plummeted to No. 97.

A nosedive in the Hot 100 charts is not something new as it happens all the time, especially with seasonal songs. For example, Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" was reported to dive from No. 1 to out of the Hot 100 charts after the holiday season.

"We Cry Together" breaks the record of A$AP Ferge's "Move Ya Hips," who trended from No. 19 to No. 99 in 2020 - a total of 80 points; Kendrick dropped 81 points downward.

The song is among those that made it to the cut of the fifth-studio album. Earlier this week, Kendrick's frequent collaborator, DJ Dahi, revealed that he would not be surprised if he saw thousands of unreleased songs on Lamar's hard drive.
