As Kate Bush continues to dominate the charts decades after the original release of her song, Halsey made a big move and performed the track on their tour.
According to iHeart, Bush's "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" has been experiencing a massive resurgence after the track was used on "Stranger Things."
Halsey recently performed at New York City's Governors Ball Festival last weekend, where they included the hit 1985 track on their setlist.
After the performance, the "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" songwriter took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the song.
"truly wish I wrote this song more than anything in the world I'm soooo happy it's having this resurgence. I knew immediately I wanted to do this," they wrote.
Following this, many fans request that Halsey should release an official studio version of the track. However, the singer has not confirmed whether they're going to record it or not.
Kate Bush Reacts to the Success of Her 1985 Song
The recent cover comes a few days after Kate Bush finally reacted to her song's success years after its initial release.
Taking to her official website, the English singer expressed her thoughts after the song went viral on all social media platforms.
Bush said she's a fan of the show, and it's exciting to see her song chart all over the world.
"It's all really exciting! Thanks very much to everyone who has supported the song," she added.
The song sits at number two on the UK charts behind Harry Style's "As It Was."
'Stranger Things 4' Featured Kate Bush's Song
The track became a significant part of the storyline in an episode when Max, played by actress Sadie Sink, was about to be taken by Vecna into the underworld.
As Nancy and Robin (Natasha Dyer and Maya Hawke) escaped their way out of the asylum after being chased after the security because of making up an excuse to interview the man who knew Vecna, they immediately radioed their findings.
They found out that listening to music could stop Vecna's demonic acts.
After the group received the information, they immediately put headphones on Max's ears to listen to "Running Up That Hill."
The plan became successful as Max was able to escape death.
