Unfortunately for One Direction fans, it appears that an impending reunion will not take place.

The "Best Song Ever" hitmakers will not be reuniting this year after one former member's interview was the most detrimental to the fans.

After nearly a year of "hiatus," which began in 2015, One Direction declared their separation in 2016. Since then, each band member has focused on their individual careers.

After the release of his third album, "Harry's House," which apparently achieved the top place in more than 20 countries, Harry Styles became one of the world's most popular musical performers this year. "As It Was," one of his tracks, reached number one.

But, since the band's breakup, fans have been pleading for One Direction to reform - but the odds have just shifted.

According to Express, the band had a good chance of reuniting by the end of 2022, but circumstances have altered in the last few months.

Ladbrokes, a leading bookmaker, fresh chances on One Direction reuniting before the end of the year are unlikely.

"The bookmakers gave One Direction 5/1 odds on reuniting in 2022."

These odds were just disclosed following Liam Payne went on an interview with Logan Paul. He claimed that despite being the final member of the band to go solo, he received the "most views."

He discussed his debut track, "Strip That Down." "I believe it outsold everyone in the band, and I was the last to go [solo]. And I had not anticipated this."

However, the publication said that while his song did not receive one billion Spotify streams, every other member of the band's first single did.

The Wolverhampton-born singer further claimed that one of the band members "threw him up a wall," and that he responded by threatening the perpetrator.

He allegedly warned his assailant, "If you don't remove those hands, there's a good chance you'll never use them again."

Liam Payne also stated that he was the driving force behind the formation of the band in the first place.

Though his remarks appeared to have generated a stir among the fans, all hope is not gone.

According to Ladbrokes through Express, there is a 6/4 chance that One Direction will reform next year.

"A One Direction reunion might be just around the corner," said the bookies, "and while a 2022 homecoming appears doubtful, the chances suggest the guys might eventually get back together next year."
