Iggy Azalea is basically already having the most "Fancy" summer ever, but this morning (Aug. 8), she capped her massive 2014 off by taking on TODAY. Taking on her The New Classic hits "Fancy" and "Work" in New York City's Rockefeller Plaza, Azalea was all attitude in her performances but nothing except grateful during her interview.
First blasting off with her signature summer smash "Fancy," Azalea performed sans Charli XCX, instead relying on background singers to carry the tune. Thus, it lacked a bit of sass in the chorus, but Azalea made up for it with her pure swagger during her verses.
Rocking skintight yellow pants and a matching sports bra style type with the word "Classic" written under the bust, Azalea could be seen swaying to the beat and dipping her booty low.
Azalea also tackled The New Classic album track "Work" with a similar amount of attitude, smiling while rocking out to the sizable NYC crowd that gathered in the early morning to catch a few tracks. "I didn't anticipate there being so many people out there. They're everywhere!" she remarked later in her interview, clearly humbled.
Azalea was originally due to perform her new Rita Ora featuring single "Black Widow," but made a last minute setlist adjustment after announcing some big news: she will debut the track live on TV for the first time at the 2014 MTV VMAs!
In addition to her performances, Azalea also discussed her small hometown of 3000 back in Australia and how her little brother can't decide whether or not to vote for her or Eminem at the VMAs.
