After releasing "Twelve Carat Tootache," Post Malone recently announced his highly-awaited 2022 Tour - with an opening act from a recently controversial rapper, Roddy Ricch.
The rapper has been featured in Post's most recent album, particularly on his second lead single - "Copped Up."
Roddy Ricch was in the headlines recently after he was arrested in New York days ago.
Roddy Ricch Arrested in New York City
Charged with criminal possession of a weapon, NYPD has seized an inordinate amount of firearms on Roddy Ricch just ahead of his much-anticipated Governors Ball 2022 performance.
NYPD charged Rodrick Moore Jr., known as Roddy Ricch, with possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device and lawful possession of an ammunition feeding device.
TMZ first reported that the 23-year-old rapper and his crew were stopped at a security checkpoint near Citi Field last Saturday, Jun. 11, 2022 - discovering the firearms, magazine, and ammunition.
After his overnight stint in jail, Roddy Ricch was eventually released from custody at Queens Central Booking last Sunday, Jun. 12, 2022.
Rolling Stone reported that Ricch currently has "no charges pending" against him despite the massive discovery of ammunition and firearms. Ricch's and the DA's office have yet to comment on the issue.
Not more than a few days since his release, the rapper took the Hot 97 Summer Stage in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He then started a chant with the crowd shouting, "F-- NYPD!"
The video trended online, but it seemed like Posty was unbothered by the current predicament.
