Ozzy Osbourne and his wife, Sharon, shared a positive update about the rocker's health following his almost life-changing surgery.

Fans were worried about Osbourne's health after Sharon revealed on "The Talk" that she would return to Los Angeles to be with her husband's side during his major operation. At that time, she revealed that it would determine the rest of his life.

After the Monday procedure, both Osbourne and Sharon shared details about the singer's recovery.

According to the talk show host, Ozzy is doing well and "on the road to recovery" after his major surgery.

"Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy's surgery! Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him," she wrote on Twitter.

Osbourne received surgery that allowed his doctors to realign the pins in his neck and back after his 2019 fall. It was tricky since he would need a lengthy amount of recuperation due to his age, and the nature of the surgery made it risky.

Fortunately, the Black Sabbath rocker survived the major part. He is expected to undergo rehabilitation at his home for months with full-time care to be observed.

What Happened to Ozzy Osborne?

His surgery came after he sat for an interview with Classic Rock in May. He revealed that he would undergo more surgery before performing again.

"[I am] waiting on some more surgery on my neck. ... I can't walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road," he said.

The problems started when he got involved in a Quad Bike incident. In 2003, the singer suffered from life-threatening injuries when he got involved in an accident that left him with a broken neck vertebra.

The injury was life-threatening enough that he told The Sun years ago that he was lucky to be alive after the crash.

In 2019, he fell at his home and dislodged the metal rods in his body.

Aside from that, Osbourne suffered pneumonia, flu complications, and a hand infection. He also faced a nervous breakdown and was even admitted to a mental hospital amid his Diary of a Madman tour.
