French Montana: Rapping is Dangerous

The news that Lil Tjay had been shot and rushed to surgery dampened French Montana's spirits on Wednesday morning, an event he passionately tweeted about and ask form prayers.

TMZ also caught up with Montana in New York City, and it was clear he still could not get over the fact that his friend and fellow rapper was in the hospital, getting surgery.

In 2019, the duo (together with Blueface) received a gold medal for the song "Slide."

While Montana wished Tjay a swift recovery, he also emphasized that being a rapper is the most "hazardous" profession and that love being sent to them in this profession, is frequently a thinly veiled form of hatred.

He may be correct. Several rappers have been shot and tragically lost their lives in 2022, in addition to Lil Tjay, who fortunately survived an emergency operation and a subsequent recovery.
