Following her appearance in Chris Brown's music video for "WE (Warm Embrace)," Normani is facing a lot of hate from her followers.
On Tuesday, the ex-member of Fifth Harmony posted a clip of the controversial R&B artist kissing her while sensually dancing on her Instagram page.
But in the comments portion of her article, followers expressed their disbelief that Normani was working with Brown.
One disgruntled individual wrote, "We were all pulling for you.
Why would you associate with a'man' like him, another person asked? One person said, "Could have noted with anybody else but him with several abuse charges," while another said.
Some fans even went so far as to use the occasion to remind people that Chris Brown's 2009 vicious attack on Rihanna's ex-girlfriend, Normani, has been brought up.
Since the beginning of Rihanna's shows, Normani has even been on the Savage x Fenty catwalk. She was the brand's first ambassador.
Before the unsettling occurrence, Brown and Rihanna dated for two years. The "With You" hitmaker received a five-year probationary period after entering a guilty plea to criminal assault.
Chris Brown and Rihanna made up in 2012, but the singer later termed it a "mistake." She does, however, publicly pardon her ex-boyfriend and even implores their supporters to do the same.
Unfortunately, Brown's previous partners were subjected to his troubling conduct.
Because of the "Forever" hitmaker's hostile behavior against her, model Karrueche Tran requested a restraining order against him in 2017 and was subsequently given a five-year order.
Brown was also under investigation for punching a lady following a dispute at his Los Angeles home the previous year. Another lady came forward and filed a lawsuit against him for allegedly drugging and abusing her during a party; however, the artist claimed that either event ever took place.
Despite the troubling allegations made against Chris Brown, it appears that Normani is unconcerned since she has been a fan of the musician for so long that he even supported him.
She defended the fact that Brown's personal life had nothing to do with his skills in 2014 by stating that she was "Team Breezy" and that she loved him in a public tweet.
"I have the power to alter his course in life. I can assist him," Normani stated in an interview during her Fifth Harmony Days.
