The Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently on a global tour, and they recently performed in Manchester, United Kingdom, where A$AP Rocky was supposed to be an opening act for them. However, the unthinkable happened, and the legendary rock band made a big move for the rapper.
According to Loudwire, the hip-hop artist has been touring with the band across Europe until the end of this month.
Last night's show was a little different as A$AP Rocky arrived late for the performance, so RHCP had to switch the lineup, making it appear that they were opening for the rapper.
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, A$AP Rocky will now play immediately after Red Hot Chili Peppers," the announcement reads.
After the concert, a fan video was posted on Twitter where concertgoers can be seen leaving the venue as the rapper performs on stage.
"A$AP Rocky turned up late as support for Red Hot Chili Peppers so they announced he was on after Chili Peppers instead. Of course every fucker is leaving because 90% of the people here are bald dads. ASAP Rocky more like Late Rocky am I right lads," the caption reads.
The "Fashion Killa" hitmaker's set reportedly lasted for only 15 minutes, making fans mad online as he never addressed the issue of being late to the show.
"ASAP Rocky didn't even apologize for being that late he had to go on AFTER Red Hot Chili Peppers," a concertgoer posted.
Despite their dismay over the rapper's performance, fans were happy to see RHCP as they performed "Universally Speaking" for the first time since 2004.
Their entire set was composed of 18 songs.
Red Hot Chili Peppers Global Stadium Tour
The band is currently on the road for their highly-anticipated global stadium tour, which kicked off earlier this month at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla in Seville, Spain.
Their next show will be at the London Stadium in London, United Kingdom, on June 25, before wrapping their European leg in cities like Dublin, Glasgow, Leuven, Paris, Hamburg, Cologne, and more.
RHCP will then travel back to the United States for their North American leg, which will start at the Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, on July 23.
Aside from A$AP Rocky, special guests will be HAIM, Thundercat, Beck, The Strokes, King Princess, and St. Vincent.
