Billie Eilish is one of the most acclaimed artists in the past few years. With her young age, many are in awe of the talent she holds, especially in music and performing.

Like every other singer and artist in the industry, there are those who they look up to that came before them. Either they emanate them, took inspiration, or just wanted to be like them - people idolize others for a reason.

Billie Eilish Owes Music Career to THESE Music Icons

As for Billie Eilish, her music career would not be possible if it were not for two music icons.

Considered the youngest Glastonbury Festival headliner, Billie Eilish is certainly humbled by the opportunity. But, the singer is even more ecstatic as she is sharing the stage with one of her longtime idols, Sir Paul McCartney.

Billie Eilish will be performing today, Jun. 24, 2022, while Sir Paul McCartney takes the Glastonbury Festival's Pyramid Stage tomorrow. He is the oldest festival headliner in history.

Speaking to NME about her "history-making" performance tonight, the Oscar-winning musician feels like she is on cloud nine with the current feat.

"My name next to theirs and being on the same level as them ... it's bonkers. I remember Kendrick headlined a festival I went to when I was 14, and I couldn't believe he was headlining this small festival because he was so huge. And now I'm headlining the same festival as him and Paul McCartney," Billie detailed.

Per Eilish, The Beatles "raised" her to be the excellent singer she is right now.

"My love for music I feel 95 percent owes to the Beatles and Paul. It's insane to think about," she declared.

In 2019, the "Happier Than Ever" hitmaker was supposed to play at the John Peel Stage, the biggest stage of the festival, but she was reduced down to The Other Stage, the second biggest.

At the time, Billie had not realized how big of a gig she actually booked.

"It was a quite busy time in my life, but after the fact I realised how big a deal it was and was like, 'Oh, s***! It was a real mixed show - so many things weren't working, so many technical issues that were just driving me mad," she recalls.

Billie Eilish is on the road for the "Happier Than Ever" tour. She recently announced a string of dates in Asia days ago.
