The estate of Michael Jackson filed a lawsuit against film producer Jeffre Phillips, accusing him of stealing numerous personal things from the "Thriller" singer in the days following his death.
This comes just before the thirteenth anniversary of the death of the pop icon. Jackson died on June 25, 2013, from heart arrest allegedly induced by a combination of medications prescribed by his physician.
Jeffre was engaged to one of Michael's siblings at the time of the alleged heist, according to court documents acquired by TMZ; however, the court petition did not indicate which brother. However, it has been alleged that La Toya Jackson, Michael's sister, married Jeffre in 2013.
The records said he was staying at Michael Carolwood House when he reportedly stole Michael's iPhone, driver's card, prescription medication bottles, handwritten notes, and pajamas he had been wearing in the hours before his death. The medical personnel striving to save Michael's life had removed the garments off the singer.
The lawsuit also claimed Jeffre seized the King of Pop's briefcase, documents, video cameras, computers, and hard drives.
As previously revealed by Radar Online, "Mickey" singer Toni Basil attributed Michael's untimely death at age 50 on his grueling concert rehearsal schedule.
