This possible collaboraton with is comparable to how he and Ella Mai worked together on their recent song, "Keep On Fallin," which they played at the BET Awards on Sunday.
"Working with Babyface was an absolute dream come true for me," Mai said. "To be welcomed and praised by someone so talented and acclaimed, I couldn't have asked for our 'Keeps On Fallin' sessions to be any better. We sang, we wrote, we laughed and we talked. Babyface is so humble and a pleasure to work with, I hope this record is the start of many more," she added.
"Keeps On Fallin'" marked Babyface's first release since signing to Capitol Records - is from his forthcoming project. He created the track with D'Mile (H.E.R., Silk Sonic, Ty Dolla $ign).

Face's last album was released over seven years ago, and according to studio sources, he's planning a comeback with hip hop influences added to the mix. This makes Chance The Rapper's the perfect choice.
Those who tuned in on the awards show would have seen the promise that Babyface spotted with Chance the Rapper.
Chance the Rapper and Joey Bada$ took to the BET Awards stage and performed "The Highs & The Lows" in front of two framed paintings of hazy pink skies.
The Chicago rapper has always placed an emphasis on his uplifting lyrics, so it made fitting that throughout his performance, the lyrics of his most recent single, which was only released last month, were shown across the screen in lowercase script.
Chance and Joey moved from the main stage to the circular stage in the center of the audience for the finale, with the same pink-tinged foggy skies projected onto the platform. Despite all the pink, it was not a mellow performance.
As a follow-up to Chance the Rapper's "The Big Day" album from 2019, "The Highs & the Lows" will appear on his upcoming 2022 album "Star Line Gallery."
A new album from Joey Bada$, named "2000," is also on the way. Due to sample clearances, Joey's third studio album will not be published until later this month, he announced on Twitter.
Looking how Chance the Rapper is being tight with Babyface during the event, it appears that he has no qualms about this possible collaboration.
