Among the remaining members of Little Mix (after Jesy Nelson left), Leigh-Anne Pinnock is said to have the most promise as a solo artist. Which is why when the group announced their hiatus for its members to go and pursue their respective individual careers, many are anticipating Pinnock would achieve chart success in her own right.

It appears her journey to success though is being sabotaged.

The record label of Leigh-Anne Pinnock has been left scrambling when an early version of a solo single leaked online. After the song "I Need You" began to circulate on social media, Warner Music executives commenced a thorough investigation. A leak can naturally negatively affect the singer's debut as a solo artist.

Links to it were removed as swiftly as possible yesterday and replaced with the following message: "This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner."

According to a source, this song is an extremely early demo.

"Bosses acted quickly and are determined to get to the bottom of how it appeared online because only a handful of people had heard it," the source explained. "They are taking it extremely seriously. Leigh-Anne is working hard to give fans the music they deserve," the source added.

Last month, the singer and her label's senior executives traveled to Jamaica to make her debut album.

She had collaborated with acclaimed songwriter Tayla Parx, who was responsible for Little Mix's No. 1 track Sweet Melody. Reportedly, the mother-of-two intends to follow Cheryl's lead by dropping her surname for her solo career.

This month, the singer registered Leigh-Anne.com, which is still under renovation.

Her bandmate Jade Thirlwall is also nearing the release of her own music. Jax Jones earlier stated that they had recorded a monster tune that he believes will be a hit.

Fans however, should not be anticipating the females to engage in a chart war.

In May, their bandmate Perrie Edwards said they have a strategy exactly in place so the avoid becoming each other's rivals, which involves letting each other know what they are going to release ahead of time. she said they are all rooting for each other, and not competing with one another.

Leigh-Anne may be devastated by this leak, but at least it has increased fan anticipation for upcoming material.
