On June 28, BLACKPINK is the first musical act to reach 75 million YouTube subscribers, a world record! Tthe video portal reported this.

BLACKPINK, comprised of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, overtook Justin Bieber as the artist with the most YouTube subscribers as early as September 2021, when it exceeded the 65.5 million subscriber milestone. The band remains way ahead of the Canadian singer after almost a year has passed.

"Our BLINKS contributed a lot to this achievement," BLACKPINK said in a statement at the time. "We will continue to bring positivity and great energy through our music videos."

With 69.3 million members, Canadian sensation Bieber is in second place. BTS comes in third place with 68.7 million followers. Marshmallow with 55,4 million and Eminem with 52,4 million complete the top five.

BLACKPINK's ascent to 75 million subscribers has been relatively rapid since their 2016 debut. They were the first K-pop group to surpass 20 million subscribers by March of 2019.

In July of the following year, they became the sixth musical artist to exceed 40 million followers. And, as said previously, they were on top by the summer of 2021.

BLACKPINK has also established a number of other noteworthy YouTube records. In November of 2019, their music video "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" became the first K-pop group to exceed one billion views on the platform. (It is on the cusp of two billion views, with an astonishing 1.8 billion to date.) Then, in June 2020, the music video for "How You Like That" was released, getting an astounding 86.4 million views on its first day, making it the most successful music video debut ever at the time.

In a May interview with Rolling Stone, Jennie teased that listeners may soon see and hear new music from the band, despite the group's recent silence on the new music front.

She subtly teased, "These days, because we're preparing for a comeback and planning our tour, I think every day, 'OK, how do I prepare myself for my next busy two years?'"

There's no bad blood between Justin Bieber and BLACKPINK though.

Although the fandom, also known as BLINKS, is widespread, the girl trio has supporters in Hollywood. Several famous stars from the west, including Khalid and Jaden Smith, have expressed their admiration for Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.

While these celebrities have openly expressed their admiration for the band, Justin Bieber left BLINKS shouting when he suddenly followed Lisa on Instagram.

Back in 2020, the international singer surprised BLINKS by following Lisa on Instagram. After Justin was spotted hanging out with Jennie and Rosé at Kanye West's "Sunday Service" performance last year, it was reported that Bieber became a follower of the band.
