Gene Simmons has wondered himself if former bandmates Ace Frehley and Peter Criss will be able to perform a full Kiss concert in 2022. He came to a conclusion - they won't .

Speaking to Finnish website Chaoszine, the bassist once again discussed the possibility of the ex-Kiss guitarist and drummer rejoining the band for their final world tour, reiterating that he had offered them the opportunity to join the shows for the encores, but adding that he doesn't believe they have the "stamina" for a full performance.

"I asked Ace and Peter, 'Come out on tour. We'll get you your own room and everything. Come out on the encores,'" Simmons states. "Ace said, 'No. The only way I'll come out is if I'm the Spaceman and you ask Tommy [Thayer, current Kiss guitarist] to leave.' I go, 'Well, that's not gonna happen.' First of all, I care about Ace, but he's not in shape - he can't play that way and doesn't have the physical stamina to do that."

Simmons clarified that knowing what he knows about his former bandmates, Criss was not in good enough form for the shows. He said when he called to invite Peter to participate in the documentary, his health was already subpar. Because it pertains to his private life, he cannot go into detail what Criss was going throughl. But it is clear that physically, doing a full show is just impossible.

The same technically goes for Frehley.

Ace Frehley recently criticized Kiss guitarist/singer Paul Stanley for suspicions of miming after a viral video of a technical glitch at a Kiss concert in Belgium. Currently, it appears extremely improbable that Frehley and Criss will perform onstage with Kiss again.

Still, even if the former bandmates won't make it, Gene Simmons says the tour planned will be as big as it can get.

The current farewell tour by KISS shows no signs of ending. In reality, the band intends to add an additional one hundred cities to the itinerary.

In a recent interview with Chaoszine, Gene Simmons shared the news. Simmons was unable to provide a definitive answer when asked when KISS will end their tour and retire, simply stating that it would not be anytime soon.

"We don't know," he said. "We've never retired before. This is our first time. It's like painting a painting or writing a book. When somebody says, 'When is it gonna be finished?' You're in the middle of it; you don't know."
