A Brooklyn guy was detained on suspicion of stalking Taylor Swift at her Tribeca residence. This said stalking did not happen once, but twice already, in the past 90 days.
According to the NYPD, Joshua Christian, 35, of Crown Heights was arrested and charged with stalking and criminal trespass on Friday.
Twice in the past three months, the pervert allegedly visited two home buildings on Franklin Street that are associated with the 32-year-old pop sensation.
On March 26 at 11:05 a.m., he entered an unlocked door at 153 Franklin Street, where Swift owns a $18 million townhouse, and remained there "illegally," according to police.
The alleged stalker exited the facility after security confronted him.
Then, on June 12 at 10:50 a.m., he allegedly sneaked into 155 Franklin Street and threatened a 32-year-old woman over the intercom, according to police.
The singer of "Shake it Off" owns multiple condos in the complex. Swift has a lengthy history of stalkers targeting her.
Christian was arrested in the First Precinct of the NYPD in Tribeca.
Late Saturday afternoon, he arrived in Manhattan Criminal Court wearing a white shirt, white slacks, and black shoes, along with his long brown hair flowing freely.
A prosecutor stated that Christian had previously been arrested in Florida for careless driving.
When Judge Abraham Clott asked him if he wished to waive extradition, he and his attorney engaged in a lengthy discussion, prompting the judge to postpone the issue until evening court.
Christian then turned to the courtroom and exclaimed, "Are you all the biggest jokers in history or actually real? Prove you're real. Prove you're real."
Court officials forcibly removed him from the courtroom.
Christian is a regular client who enjoys lo mein, according to Michelle Yang, who works at the Wing Hang Chinese restaurant nearby.
"He's pretty quiet. He doesn't really talk that much," Yang said. "Usually he's just out and would walk his dog by himself. It's pretty bizarre because he was pretty normal, just maybe quiet."
A man who works at the Peoples Organic Market and Juice Bar, however, stated that Christian appeared to have "mental issues."
The worker, who gave his name as Mo, said "I ask him a question like if he needs a bag or something and he says 'I'm over it.'"
This scary event happened after it was reported that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have long been engaged and wedding bells are going to rain soon. As the two are yet to confirm this, it remains to be seen if it is true.
