Congratulations are in order for Lady Antebellum.
According to CMT, the trio and comic Jeff Foxworthy are among the newest inductees announced for the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
Lady Antebellum will be inducted in the performer category and Foxworthy in the spoken word division. Wet Willie will receive the group honor and Collective Soul's Ed Roland will be inducted for his songwriting achievements.
Record label founder Ed Beard, blues vocalist Francine Reed and the late gospel singer-songwriter Wally Fowler are also slated to be inducted.
Lady A's Dave Haywood says receiving such a distinguish award is a proud feeling.
"We've never been a part of something like this before," he said. "It's pretty special hearing the words 'Lady Antebellum' and 'hall of fame' in the same sentence. We really feel honored to be included."
Haywood and bandmate Charles Kelley are Georgia natives, which makes receiving this award all the more special.
They were born in Augusta, grew up there as friends and took their first musical steps as collaborators during those formative years, reports CMT.
Although she hails from Tennessee, Haywood says their bandmate Hillary Scott is an "honorary Georgian."
He explained, "She's spent a lot of time there in Atlanta and Athens. We've shown her the Georgia Theatre and Eddie's Attic."
Last year's inductees included the rock group Kansas, hip-hop sensations Goodie
Mob & Cee Lo Green and hit songwriter Pat Alger.
The inductees are chosen each year by members of the nonprofit Friends of Georgia Music Festival organization, which celebrates individuals who have made a significant contribution to Georgia's musical traditions.
The 36th annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
