After releasing her newest single last week, Cardi B is off to release more massive collaborations in the coming months.
A huge project between Cardi B and veteran rapper Lil Kim is hinted to be cooking up - a highly-anticipated team-up between the two female rappers who seemed to be dominating their respective eras in music.
Aside from this, a project mixtape between the Invasion of Privacy hitmaker and his husband, Offset, seems to also be in the planning stage for the rapper's music plans this year.
Cardi B, Lil Kim Collab Coming Soon?
Days after finally releasing her song Hot Shit, GRAMMY Award-winning rapper Cardi B has spilled some interesting new revelations on her next plans on music.
Speaking to Hot97, Cardi B revealed that she wanted Lil Kim on her upcoming new album. Apparently, at the time of her interview, the mom of two had already "hit" Lil Kim up, meaning she already got in contact with her for the feature.
"What I really wanted to do was like an 'Aunt Dot' with her, but then I'm kinda debating, is that gonna be a little bit outdated? I just want the song I do with her, I want it to be like a super great comeback. I just don't want to put her on my album on a song and it's like, 'Cool, yeah, she had a Lil' Kim feature.' I want this to be like her insane moment," Cardi B elaborated on the plan.
For Cardi, the collaboration has to be something that could make them become a "great duo," in the rapper's own words: "like something that just makes sense."
This is not the first time that the two have spoken about each other publicly.
Last December, Cardi B defended Lil Kim against cyberbullies after the latter released a holiday single that attracted polarising reviews since its debut.
Cardi B launched a full attack on Lil Kim's retractors, noting how she had done this before when she was young.
Aside From Lil Kim, Cardi B has already revealed her plans to work with another rapper after her next album.
Cardi B, Offset Mixtape Comes After Her Sophomore Album
In another interview, Cardi B opened up about her plans on what she would do after dropping her next album - a mixtape with her husband, Offset.
"After I do this album, I do want to do a mixtape with my husband 'cause I love how he raps. He could rap his ass off. I'm really, really a fan," Cardi told Power 105.
