Since the second volume of "Stranger Things" season 4 aired, many fans continued to stream songs from the 80s, and a Metallica classic wasn't an exception. Today, the legendary band finally reacted to the series.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

According to People Magazine, the 1986 song "Master of Puppets" was significantly used in a scene on the hit Netflix series.

In the two-hour finale episode, Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn, had a major idea to distract the bats protecting Vecna's lair.

The character did a solo guitar performance on top of the dark version of his home, and his plan was a success.

Unfortunately, his character never made it to the end, but the Duffer Brothers confirmed in a previous interview that his death would be pivotal in the fifth season.

Speaking about the song's success because of "Stranger Things," the legendary rockers took to their official Instagram account to express their gratitude.

"The way the Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched from them to not only include 'Master of Puppets' in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it," they wrote.

They added that they were "stoked" to see the final outcome and were "totally blown away" upon watching it for the first time.

Metallica also shared that they were amazed at the fans who were able to guess the song by watching the trailer and looking at Joseph Quinn's hands.

The band concluded their statement by saying it's an "incredible honor" to be a part of the character's journey.

After the episode aired, "Master of Puppets" became one of the most-played songs in all parts of the world.

The track immediately got the 10th spot on Spotify, placing 17 on the Global Top 50 playlist.

Similar to Kate Bush's "Running up That Hill (A Deal With God)," which amassed global fame after it was featured on season 4 volume 1.

Speaking about how they came up with the song, music supervisor Nora Felder told Variety that the creators wanted to use the track from the beginning.

"It was another one of those 'it has to be this song,' moments," she said.

As of this writing, Netflix has not announced an official release date for "Stranger Things" season 5.
