A rare video of Kiss performing live in 1975 has been posted on YouTube, providing fans with a fresh look at the band during their ascent to stardom. The video might be old, but it certainly wowed the fans of today.
The first video to be published was a full concert from the Alive! Tour, filmed at the Capitol Centre in Largo, Maryland on November 30, 1975, which was uploaded to an account belonging to a man named Sam Loomis late last month.
A week later, another footage from one of Kiss's most renowned performances appeared: more than 30 minutes of the band's Dressed To Kill concert at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan, on May 16, of the same year.
The band's Alive! album was recorded at Cobo Hall, and while footage of the set has been rumored to exist for years, just a few seconds had previously been made public, on a 2003 VH1 Ultimate Albums program.
A third video was published the most recently, on July 5 morning, and it has nearly two hours of black-and-white footage of Kiss practicing in 1976, featuring close-up footage of drummer Peter Criss singing Beth sans makeup.

It is unclear where the footage originated, while the video blurbs give credit to Curt Gooch and Ross Bradley, two well-known Kiss collectors. Kiss Alive Forever: The Complete Touring History and Party Every Day: The Inside Story of Casablanca Records were co-authored by Gooch. However, regardless of the source of the material, fans are happy.
"Thank you for the upload," one responds. It's reassuring to know that after all these years, there are still wonderful treasures stashed up and ready to be uncovered!
Another asserts: "I still can't get over how you found this show! It's crazy! I've only seen small portions of these songs live at Detroit in Kiss documentaries, but never the whole songs from this show until now. Thank you!"
He's not the only one floored. Another wrote, "This is awesome. Glad to see this get released instead of being hoarded by somebody for almost 50 years!"
Fans can now take advantage of the fact that the iconic rock band intends to schedule an additional 100 shows to its Farewell tour. In a recent interview with Chaoszine, frontman Gene Simmons revealed the news. When asked when his face-painting band will conclude their tour, Simmons was unable to respond. He did, however, note that the end is not imminent.
"We don't know. We've never retired before. This is our first time," Simmons said when inquired about the final tour stop. "It's like painting a painting or writing a book. When somebody says, 'When is it gonna be finished?' You're in the middle of it; you don't know."
Initially, Kiss stated that their farewell performance would take place on July 17, 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band was forced to postpone and eventually reschedule their tour. Then, Paul Stanley of KISS stated that the tour would conclude in early 2023. Now, though, the band has announced that 100 cities will be added.
