Weeks after receiving huge backlash after being ranked higher on Rolling Stone's 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of All Time, Cardi B has finally spoken out about the matter.
Cardi B's debut album, Invasion of Privacy, received a high placement in the reputable publication, higher than what hip-hop fans consider classic hip-hop albums, which led to the hate train.
Since the publishing of the controversial article, Cardi B has been mum about the issue, until now.
Cardi B Ranked #16 on Rolling Stone Hip-Hop Album All-Time Charts
Earlier this June, Rolling Stone published their long list of The 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of All Time, ranking albums as old as Notorious B.I.G to Travis Scott.
Most of the album placements within the charts are reasonable. However, in an unusual circumstance, fans of different rappers are in unison that Cardi B's 2018 hit Invasion of Privacy does not deserve the No. 16 spot on the charts.
Invasion of Privacy landed higher than Nas' iconic debut album Illmatic, N.W.A's Grammy Hall of Famer album Straight Outta Compton, and Kendrick Lamar's critically-acclaimed good kid, m.A.A.d. city, among many other classics.
Hip-hop fans were very vocal about their anger on the Rolling Stone placement, calling out the publication for the undeserving placement.
Rolling Stone just ranked “Invasion Of Privacy” as the 16th best Hip-Hop album of all time and placed it above all of these classics:

Illmatic
Aquemini
Madvillainy
The Chronic
Tha Carter 3
All Eyez On Me
Reasonable Doubt
good kid, m.A.A.d city
The Marshall Mathers LP
Wtf man…
Since the issue broke out, Cardi B has been silent about it - which led fans to think that she must have accepted the ranking wholeheartedly.
But this is not the case.
Cardi B Calls Out Rolling Stone on 'Invasion of Privacy' Ranking
In a new interview with Angela Yee's podcast, it seemed like the Hot Shit rapper was also surprised with the ranking.

Cardi recounted waking up and confused about why she was getting dragged, with questions asking why she was put higher than Nas.
"I understand that but it's like, bitch, I ain't motherfucking ask for it. You know, I understand that people feel a certain type of way. But don't try to disrespect me or my work or my album because your mother was listening to my shit, your bitch was driving, listening to fucking 'Be Careful.' All y'all bitches, all y'all hoes. So it's like, don't even try it," Cardi explains.
The female rapper particularly noted that Rolling Stone set her up. Per Cardi, she has already seen the "recipe" where media outlets put up a list like this and include a debut album over the classics to cause some stir and for it to go viral.
Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy is available for streaming on Spotify.
