Drake and Kendrick Lamar are two of the most prolific rappers of this generation. With their chart-topping hits and albums, the two have certainly made their name a staple on Hip-hop's Mount Rushmore.

But like any other artists, the two formidable rappers are not exempted from poor-performing tracks.

On the Billboard Hot 100 charts released this week, Drake and Kendrick Lamar now shares a historic chart record; but it is not a flattering one.

The two rap figures are mostly known for their hit singles, collaborations, and chart success. However, it seemed like the two are now sharing an unflattering historic record.

In a tweet posted by Chart Data, Drake's Text Go Green has plunged down at the bottom of the Hot 100 charts - tieing with longtime rap rival Kendrick Lamar for suffering the biggest single-week drop in Billboard Hot 100 history.

Honestly, Nevermind's track three nosedived exactly 81 spots after debuting at No. 13 on its opening week - it now sits at No. 94.

Kendrick Lamar and Drake are now sharing the same historic downward feat with the former's We Cry Together, and the latter's Text Go Green.

The news came weeks after the Kendrick Lamar track suffered the same disappointing fate last June - failling from No. 16 to No. 97 on the all-singles chart.

We Cry Together is part of Lamar's critically-acclaimed double album Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers.

Why Was 'Text Go Green' Dropped To The Bottom?

HipHopDX describes Text Go Green's nosedive to the bottom of the Hot 100 charts to be "more mistifying" as compared to We Cry Together because of its loud and brash sound.

According to Kworb, Drake's Text Go Green has generated more than 20.5 million global streams on the streaming service giant Spotify, on top of the song's 2.5 million plays on YouTube.

Despite the poor performance of the track Honestly, Nevermind is still among the dominators of both Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts.

The album currently sits at No. 3 after a week on the summit, with Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti reclaiming its spot for the third nonconsecutive week at No. 1.

Over to the singles chart, last week's leader Jimmy Cooks is now at #5 after also debuting atop.
