It appears that Taylor Swift won't be heading to the altar with Joe Alwyn soon after engagement rumors circulated over the past few weeks as the singer was out and about with her boyfriend and there's something missing on her look.
According to Page Six, the singer was photographed with the British actor in an outing that came a few weeks after reports made rounds online regarding their alleged engagement.
The Sun previously claimed that the pair have been engaged "for a few months."
Although the couple has not publicly addressed the matter, their recent appearance hinted at the actual status of their relationship.
The actor donned a pair of dark blue shorts, sneakers, a cap, and sunglasses. On the other hand, the "Out of the Woods" songstress was clad in an open button-down cover-up over a gray tank top.
The only thing missing from her outfit is her alleged engagement ring.
The couple enjoyed quality time with each other as they went to a cafe to grab iced coffees. They sat down and had a conversation before making their way out.
The recent news comes a few weeks after reports about their engagement made rounds online, saying everyone who knew about the milestone "bas been sworn to secrecy."
The outlet clarified that the "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" songwriter only wears her engagement ring "behind closed doors" like when she's staying at home.
An unidentified friend of the actor revealed that they only told their closest friends about the engagement and not too many people knew the details about their wedding.
"They want their love to stay away from the cameras as much as possible," the insider said.
Aside from their special event being extremely private and not having any media around, the source said it would be "simple and elegant."
Alwyn and Swift started dating five years ago and their connection was far different from Swift's exes as they kept most of the details extremely private.
The "You Need To Calm Down" hitmaker was previously linked to Harry Style, Tom Hiddleston, and Calvin Harris, all of which were heavily covered by the media before.
Alwyn has also made a significant contribution to his girlfriend's career as he co-wrote two songs from "Folklore" under the alias William Bowery.
