Carrie Underwood may be known for her country songs, but she proved her talent recently as she could also belt out rock music in her own rendition.
According to Billboard, the country star released an exclusive live performance album for a music streaming platform titled "Apple Music Sessions: Carrie Underwood."
The new extended play featured several live performances of her classic songs "Ghost Story" from her successful "Denim & Rhinestones" album, and 2012's "Blown Away."
The song that stood out the most is her chilling rendition of Ozzy Osbourne's "Mama I'm Coming Home."
While promoting her new record in an Instagram post, the former "American Idol" star said the Black Sabbath frontman's track is one of her "all-time favorite songs."
The outlet noted that the song was a part of the rock singer's "No More Tears" album in 1991 and it was released as a single the following year.
"Mama, I'm Coming Home" is the only song from Osbourne's catalog that managed to enter the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at number 28 in April 1992.
Donning a gold dress and a denim jacket, Underwood delivered her performance in the most unique way as she belted out the song on a grittier note.
Despite being popularly known for singing country music, pop, and gospel, the singer also sings rock songs on several occasions.
The recent EP release comes a few weeks after Underwood performed with Guns 'N Roses at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, United Kingdom, as a special guest.
Taking to social media, the country star expressed her gratitude and sentiments over her surprise appearance on the concert.
"Never in a million years did I think I would get to spend not one but TWO nights of my life on stage with @gunsnroses ! Thanks, again, to the band and crew and, of course, to the fantastic crowd! The energy was [lightining bolt emoji]!!! Until next time..." she wrote.
The first song she covered was the band's classic "Sweet Child O' Mine" after being introduced on stage by frontman Axl Rose.
The country star then belted out her rendition of the song in front of 70,000 people.
Aside from the classic track, Underwood later returned to the stage for the finale song "Paradise City."
Prior to their UK show, they also collaborated in the past during the country star's Stagecoach Festival set in California.
