Christopher Hall, Stabbing Westward frontman, delivered two bad news ahead of the band's highly-anticipated tours.
Stabbing Westward's fans had been preparing ahead of the band's upcoming tours this year. It is scheduled to visit Virginia Beach, Warrendale, and New York from August to September.
However, its frontman confirmed the cancelation of the tours and a tragic reason behind it.
On Stabbing Westward's Facebook page, Hall revealed that the band decided to put the shows on hold as he deals with a dreaded health issue.
"I've been diagnosed with throat cancer. prognosis is really good but it's going to involve a couple of surgeries and 6-8 weeks of chemo and radiation. So unfortunately, I won't be singing anytime soon. I'm hoping to be feeling more human by Halloween and have my voice back by Christmas. So again, sorry for the inconvenience," the frontman revealed.
The Cancer Treatment Centers of America says that the signs and symptoms of throat cancer are often difficult to identify. But most cases show sore throat and hoarseness - something usual for Hall and other singers.
But other symptoms include hoarseness, ear or jaw pain, persistent cough, white patches in the mouth or throat, unexplained weight loss, swelling of the eyes, jaw, throat, or neck; and headaches.
His fans took their chances to send him well wishes as he faces the health iddues.
One fan commented, "No apologies necessary, You don't owe anyone anything! I'm sending so many positive thoughts to you and your family right now! I'm sending you all my best for a speedy recovery! Stabbing Westward's music has given me so much over the years, I can't even put into words how much your music means to me."
"I can guarantee you the only thing any SW fan cares about is you taking care of yourself and pulling through this! Sending thoughts of strength and healing, we're all rooting for you!" another wrote.
